Perhaps, the biggest challenge for this family was dealing with a huge construction project while they lived in the space! The former kitchen and dining rooms combined to become the new kitchen, the rest of the walls were removed, created a living/dining area. Railings to the lower floor were removed so drywall partitions could be built. Renovating and opening up this split level home was a challenge that required coordination with an architect and structural engineer.
The Transformation
A main floor living space that is bright, open and has enough space for this multi-generational family to be together without being on top of eachother. This giant island will be the heart of this home for years to come!
